Fisher AME Zion Church in Phoenix, Arizona announced that it was looking for an armed or unarmed security guard.
On a Facebook post on Tuesday, Aug. 16, the church said bodyguards may also apply and they will be depending on experience.
According to the church’s post, it is not a full-time position and has the following part-time schedule such as every week Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., one Saturday a month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and additional hours and on-call hours available.
The starting date will be as soon as possible, the church said.
The payment will be $17 to 20 per hour with additional pay negotiable, it added.
The church said the requirements include feeling at ease in church environments, the ability to strategically or psychically any danger from the area and the potential to develop into a long-term opportunity.
The church added that each shift must be completed and that the employee has to cooperate with the Trustee in terms of protecting the assets.

Church’s Denomination
In order to fulfill this goal, members worship God, submit to the demands of the Gospel, share the story of God's gracious works in creating and redeeming the world, invite people to follow Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and serve as agents of God's releasing and reconciling love, according to the church's website.
The church said its denomination has devoted a large portion of its attention and resources to outreach abroad in addition to emphasizing ministry and social change here in the United States.
Australia is the only continent where the AME Zion Church does not currently have member churches, it added.
The church said the denomination has established various schools and clinics in Ghana and Nigeria, specifically in West Africa.
Although some of its primary buildings in Liberia were damaged by civil conflict, the Church still retains facilities there, according to the church.
The church said there are currently about 1.4 million members of the AME Zion Church.
Prayer, Counseling
The church said at Fisher AME Zion Church, they think that church does not just take place in buildings with four walls.
Since most of the struggles as Christians take place outside of the church homes, the pastor and church leadership are always accessible to serve, pray for and offer advice to other Christians as they navigate their own conflicts, according to the church.
Theologian Rev. Dr. Staccato K. Powell II holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary, according to the church.
The church said the lead pastor of Fisher truly enjoys speaking to his congregation and engaging the general public.
Throughout the week, Rev. Dr. Staccato K. Powell II is available for individual therapy. Counseling is always confidential and free, it added.
