Midtown Presbyterian Church in Phoenix, Arizona said it is set to hold the Wilderness Retreat.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Aug. 23, the church announced that the retreat will be held from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, Friday to Sunday.

According to the church’s post, those who need a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life may join as they follow Jesus' command to "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."

The church announced that they would seclude themselves in the wilderness (Tonto Creek Campground and Horton Spring) with Jesus and the Desert Christians serving as their guides in order to engage in spiritual disciplines, spend time with God, and enjoy one another's company while hiking along the lovely Horton Creek and consuming delectable fare.

It added that they may get renewed, reconnected, and invigorated.

Church’s Hospitality, Community, Discipleship, Mission

The church claimed that its main purpose is to forward God's plan to redeem and restore everything in the world.

According to the church, both believers and spiritual searchers are welcome here. They wish to offer a place that a person may call home regardless of where they are in their spiritual development.

They would like to greet everyone, according to the church.

The church said they put a high value on coming together for play, learning, service, and rest because they understand that a complete and free human existence is best lived in a community.

Furthermore, they stressed the importance of becoming more like Jesus in all they do and that they believed the Christian life to be transforming, changing every aspect of their lives.

The church said it is a fairly typical group of people: singles, families, couples, young people, and grownups.

They want everyone to know that their stories are always welcome because everyone has a unique narrative to tell, according to the church.

Midtown Presbyterian Church said they want to know that they are welcome here whether they have spent their entire life attending churches, whether a church has injured them in the past, or whether they have never entered one.

They are invited to develop and learn. Meanwhile, questions are also welcome at any time and they are free to proceed.

The church said they may also bring their kids, neighbors, workplace, and friends as everyone is welcome.

The church said the meeting starts at Hope Women's Center at 9:30 a.m. at 1640 E. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ, 85006.

Midtown Presbyterian Church added that the connected staff will greet everyone arriving and be available to answer any questions guests may have about the church, the neighborhood, and how to get involved.

When they arrive, they will frequently find coffee, doughnuts, and other refreshments waiting for everyone, the church said.

The church said they will hold that since humans are creators, singing and performing music together is one of the best methods for them to communicate their spiritual experiences.

It added that it offers a mix of well-known contemporary tunes, traditional hymns, and even original compositions by local artists.
