New City Church donated over 150 'galentine' bags to women

The women from the New City Church conducted the Women’s Supply Drive to support Hope Women’s Center and Phoenix Rescue Mission on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.

The church’s Facebook page announced that they gave out more than 150 “Galentine’s Day bags” to women. They stated that the female members gathered to make care packages, write motivation cards, and have a great night of community.

Hope Women’s Center

According to Hope Women’s Center website, their mission is to empower, engage, and train ladies and teenagers suffering from difficult life circumstances. They explained that they lead them from “trauma to transformation.”

In addition, they offer a one-on-one mentoring program to help ladies recover and move on. They noted that they focus on supporting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Helping Women Thrive

In another section, the center revealed that they desire to support ladies and their families to thrive. They would want to build a healing environment, as noted on the website. 

According to them, they are dedicated to witnessing women and families flourish. The center highlighted that they are a faith-based and trauma-informed agency helping women and young ladies with their challenges.

As further mentioned, the adversities include addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and unplanned pregnancy. The center also helps those who feel overwhelmed by parenting, joblessness, and loss of self-esteem. 

Moreover, the center offers a support system and supports victims of human trafficking, family problems, or transformation. Also, they help kids in the foster care system and those living on the streets. 

They motivate and train women in all generations of life.

Phoenix Rescue Mission

The Phoenix Rescue Mission explained that they want to help change the lives of marginalized women and children. They revealed that many suffered from hunger, poverty, eviction, and other crises as the year started. 

They encouraged supporters to help them raise $600,000 for The Valley Cares 2023 Annual Fund.

In another section, they pointed out that they aim to offer Christ-centered, life-changing solutions to individuals dealing with hunger, homelessness, addiction, and trauma.

Moreover, they stated that they wanted to see love, hope, and change in every community member in the Valley.

According to the website, they are followers of Jesus. They explained that they continuously glorify and give thank God. They added that they practice their faith by allotting time to the “Word” and spreading the Good News.

Besides, they mentioned that they pray with each other at Phoenix Rescue Mission. Also, they said that they are a worshiping community. They serve their neighbors in need to be the hands and feet of Jesus, as noted on the website. 

Love, Respect

On the same website, Phoenix Rescue Mission emphasized that they are dedicated to making time to build good relationships with others. They explained that they want to be a blessing to others by making them their priority.

As further mentioned, they have a servant's heart at Phoenix Rescue Mission. They said that they think of the needs of others before theirs. Also, they noted that they desire to restore relationships.
