Sunrise United Methodist Church Phoenix's Mission

Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the purpose of transforming the world is the church's mission

The church said its most important venues for making disciples are local churches and extension ministries of the Church.

By sharing the good news of God's grace and living out Jesus' teaching to love one's neighbor as oneself, the church seeks to bring about God's dominion and realm in the world, according to the church.

The church said this is accomplished by making disciples of Jesus Christ for the change of the world.

The vision Scripture presents to us is the completion of God's reign and realm in the world, it added.

Jesus Christ is recognized by the United Methodist Church as the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of all.

Making disciples means respecting and defending the right of everyone to practice their religion freely, the church said.

This mission of Sunrise United Methodist Church Phoenix is a gracious response to Jesus' proclamation of the Reign of God throughout the world.

God's grace is always at work, achieving this goal as it is stated in the Bible, the church said.
