The Wesley United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona announced that it held prayer and bible study groups.
On a Facebook post on Saturday, July 16, the church said it started on Monday, July 18 at 7 a.m. and another one will take place on Thursday, July 21 at 7 p.m.
According to the church’s post, it started some exciting new spaces for gathering and growing together.
The church said these gatherings will be held via Zoom meeting, which means that they can call in phone from phone or video technology depending on their comfort level and device access.
The prayer group will be held every Monday at 7 a.m. and the Bible study group every Thursday at 7 p.m.
Interested participants may contact Pastor Sylvia for those who have questions on how these calls work or if they would like to test options before the group begins.

Church’s In-person Worship Service
In-person worship resumed on Feb. 14, 2020, according to the church’s website.
The church said they request that anybody planning to attend in person observe safety precautions such as using face masks, maintaining a six-foot physical distance, and submitting a signed Worship Covenant.
After the conclusion of the weekly in-person services, they will continue to post the worship services to their YouTube and Facebook pages if they want to keep viewing worship online, the church added.

Weekly bible studies were also conducted via webinar by the Tanner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Phoenix, Arizona.

It also reported that the weekly Thursday 7 p.m. webinar bible study meets.

According to the church's website, Historic Tanner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church is the oldest African American church in Arizona.
The church, citing the judicial records, said the property was owned by an African Methodist Episcopal Mission in 1886.
When Charles Ward, N. D. Valentine, Laura Valentine, and Sister Bell met with the Reverend H. H. Hawkins to propose the foundation of a Christian mission to promote "family life," the church claimed that is when it was created.
The church claims that in 1899, another plot of land was bought at the intersection of Second Street and East Jefferson Street as the African Methodist Episcopal Mission grew.
