Atlanta First United Methodist Church in Georgia asked for school supply donations to help students this coming school year.

On a Facebook post on Thursday, July 7, the Atlanta First United Methodist Church appealed for school supply donations.

According to the church, these will be delivered to the Wellroot Family Services next week.

The church said construction paper, notebook paper, washable markers, highlighters, index cards, pens, pencils, colored pencils, erasers, USB flashdrives, headphones, rulers, and scientific calculators are among the supplies they most urgently need.

A part of their donation will be used to buy school supplies if they donate online to the #SERVE ministry at atlantafirstumc.org/give, according to the church.

On August 28, as part of their 175 Kick-Off Celebration, the United Methodist Church earlier said it will donate school materials and uniforms to the Boyce L. Ansley School and Wellroot Family Services.

Friends at the Front Door

"Friends at the Front Door" debuted on Tuesday, July 5, at the Atlanta First United Methodist Church in Georgia.

Atlanta First United Methodist Church announced the launch of its "Friends at the Front Door" program on Facebook on June 30.
