The Atlanta First United Methodist Church invited the public for June’s Grow Book Club Pick.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, June 1, the Atlanta First United Methodist Church announced its Grow Book Club Pick for this month.

According to the church, they will gather on Monday, June 27 at 7 p.m. to discuss Erik Shafak's award-winning novel "The Island of Missing Trees" via Zoom. 

The reading guides will be posted to the Facebook group, Atlanta First United Methodist Church Online, over the next three weeks.

Sacred Cinema Growing Group

On Wednesday, June 1, the Atlanta First United Methodist Church began their sacred cinema growing group.

The Atlanta First United Methodist Church announced on Facebook on Friday, May 27 that the sacred cinema grow group met on Zoom on Wednesday, June 1 to discuss Disney-2021 Pixar's film "Luca" (PG).

According to the church's message, participants can register to begin right now.

This year, the church is going a step further by hosting a Sacred Cinema Small Group Series.

During the months of June and July, they will hold talks regarding the spiritual implications of some of the most recent Oscar-nominated films via Zoom on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

On Monday, May 23, the summer reading club convened for the first time at Atlanta First United Methodist Church in Georgia.

In a Facebook post on Friday, May 20, the Atlanta Inaugural United Methodist Church announced the inaugural meeting of its summer book club on Monday.

The public was encouraged to start reading Sankofa this month, according to the church.

According to the church, those who have not yet read it have time. It's a fast-paced, intriguing book about a woman's search for her true self.

Library System’s Central Branch

The Atlanta First United Methodist Church has welcomed the public to visit the Fulton County Library System's Central Branch.

The church stated on Facebook on Thursday, May 12 that the public is encouraged to visit the Fulton County Library System's Central Branch since the $50 million restorations were completed at the end of last year.

Not only is the church's edifice magnificent and the library informative, but there is also an Asian Pacific American History Month exhibit in the main lobby this month, according to the church's Facebook page.
