The Ben Hill United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, held a coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination drive for first, second, and booster shots on Thursday, Dec. 9.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Nov. 30, the Ben Hill United Methodist Church said that those who are planning to visit family friends for the holidays may get their first, second, and booster shots at the church on Thursday.
The church said Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines are available as booster shots.

Caregiver Awareness Day
On Monday, Nov. 15, the Ben Hill United Methodist Church held a virtual Caregiver Awareness Day.
The Ben Hill United Methodist Church said it celebrated a virtual Caregiver Awareness Day last Monday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The "Caregiver Awareness Day, Helping Those Who Care for Others" event was organized by the Ben Hill United Methodist Church differently-abled ministry and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Pi Alpha Omega Chapter, according to the church.
According to the Ben Hill United Methodist Church, the purpose of the gathering was to raise awareness about the severe effects of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, which caregivers can also develop.

The Ben Hill United Methodist Church hosted a silent prayer walk on Saturday. The church announced a silent, spirit-filled, and guided prayer walk was held.
According to the church's website, the quiet prayer walk began in the Brown Parking Lot and circled the church, pausing at eight stations with a different prayer focus at each stop.
The Ben Hill United Methodist Church said the event was about walking, praying, contemplating, and imagining as the attendees took sacred steps on the earth.
Meanwhile, the church advised attendees to wear face masks as a precaution against the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) pandemic.
