The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, asked the public to bring old and clean styrofoam to the church on Sunday, Jan. 2.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Jan. 1, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church encouraged the public to bring any old and clean styrofoam to the church for recycling on Sunday.
The church said its mission team will get it recycled at the CHaRm.
According to the post, receptacles were placed outside for the public.

In-person Worship Canceled
On Sunday, Dec. 26, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church stated that there will be no in-person service. The church told churchgoers in a Facebook post on Sunday, Dec. 26 that there will be no in-person service that day.
They said that in the morning, a recorded worship service would be available on the church's website.
Meanwhile, the church also announced that a Zoom meeting will be held at 11 a.m.
The Druid Hills Presbyterian church announced that in-person service would resume on Sunday, Jan. 2.

Community Outreach Gathering
A women's center hosted a community outreach gathering for refugee families with the help of the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church.
On Wednesday, Dec. 8, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church posted on Facebook that the Amani Women Center of the Memorial Drive Ministries community held a community outreach gathering.
Over 200 refugee families were in attendance, according to the church, and 73 people received their coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccinations.
Meanwhile, the Amani Women Center celebrated the end of the year by providing much-needed assistance to the refugee community as well as second vaccine shots to those who had gotten their first dosage in November.
Druid Hills Presbyterian Church, according to the post, covered a large portion of the Amani Women Center's hosting fees.
On Tuesday, Oct. 12, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church hosted morning and evening circles for women.
According to the Druid Hills Presbyterian website, all church ladies were urged to join the Presbyterian women this year.
The church's morning and evening circles were streamed live on Zoom.

Food Pantry
Volunteers are also required for Intown Collaborative Ministries' food banks, according to the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church.
On Tuesday, Sept. 21, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church announced the food pantry cooperation in a Facebook post.
Individuals who wanted to volunteer at Intown Collaborative Ministries' food pantry were welcomed at the church.
According to their website, the Intown Collaborative Ministries is an organization dedicated to preventing and treating homelessness and malnutrition in Atlanta's Intown neighborhood.
The food pantry distribution took place on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m.
Farewell Service
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Oct. 24, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church held a farewell ceremony for its legendary instrument.
According to a Facebook post, the Presbyterian Church's Aeolian-Skinner Organ will be restored by the end of October.
The church said a farewell to the historic instrument, the church staged a one-of-a-kind poetry and organ event.
The organ would be removed and transported for renovation in the coming weeks, according to the Druid Hills.
