The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to host advocacy training for its church members.

In a Facebook post, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church invited the public to join in the “Presbyterians for a Better Georgia Advocacy Training” on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 8 a.m.

According to the post, the church members were invited to learn how to equip themselves to help shape state policies.

The church said the advocacy training will continue to speak out for policies that are in line with our churches' caring ministries, such as support for affordable housing, reducing homelessness, and ensuring that everyone in Georgia has access to medical and mental healthcare.

The congregation, according to the church, is a varied, inviting family of people from all around the metro Atlanta area. The church said it also has members who attend from all over the Atlanta Metro region.

In-Person Worship Service

The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church announced that there will be no in-person service on Sunday, December 26. On Sunday, Dec. 26, the church announced on Facebook that there would be no in-person service that day.

The church stated that a recorded worship session would be available on the church's website the next morning.

Meanwhile, a Zoom meeting has been scheduled for 11 a.m. at the church.

On Sunday, Jan. 2, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church announced that in-person services would resume.

Church’s Recycling Day

On Sunday, Jan. 2, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church invited the public to bring old and clean styrofoam to the church.

The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church encouraged the public to bring any old and clean styrofoam to the church for recycling on Sunday in a Facebook post on Saturday, Jan. 1.

The CHaRm will recycle it, according to the church's mission team.

Receptacles for the public were placed outside, according to the post.
