Embry Hills United Methodist Church (UMC) began its Advent Giving Trees to support the residents of Wellroot Family Service's new property within the Oakhurst neighborhood until Jan. 1, 2023.
According to the church's announcements page, the event is a Christmas tradition to reach out to its local community.
In December, about 13 young adults from Wellroot Family Service's Transition and Independent Living Program aged out of foster care without families moved into the new property. In line with this, the church aims to help them settle down and live independently through its donations, per the post.
The announcement said that near the Advent Giving Trees in the Education Building Lobby or the Narthex, donors could find information on donating needed items and giving cash toward items.
