Embry Hills United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to hold a blood donation drive on Monday, Oct. 24.
In a Facebook post, the church said the event will be held in the Family Life Center from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
According to the church's post, they may schedule a donation using the code "embryhills" at redcrossblood.org/appt, the American Red Cross's free Blood Donor app, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (733-2767).
The church said they may also volunteer by helping out at the sign-in table and greeting donors instead of donating blood.

Embry Hills United Methodist Church said that their Advent community service project was a time-honored tradition and a simple way to meet new people.
According to the church, United Methodist churches can serve and donate more effectively as a group than they can as individuals since they are a part of a connectional denomination.
The American Red Cross has reportedly conducted blood drives on our campus six times a year since 2012, according to Embry Hills United Methodist Church.
The church said they may visit the www.redcrossblood.org and type in the sponsor code “embryhills."
According to the church's website, NETWorks Cooperative Ministry gave generously.
Embry Hills United Methodist Church stated that the organization uses its position as a contribution drop-off place, volunteer recruitment, board membership, and other activities to "engage with people to identify long-term solutions to poverty."
The organization reportedly provides "meals and financial aid to inhabitants of Northlake-Embry Hills-Tucker.”
Partnerships with Other Groups
Embry Hills United Methodist Church stated on its website that working with the Atlanta Community Food Bank is an honor.

However, it also warned its followers not to approach members of the public and demand cash or gift cards. It was made clear that in the event that such demands were made, the person would have the option to delete the communication and inform the church authorities of their choice.
Additionally, it was suggested to the general public not to reply or click on any of the communication's links.
According to Embry Hills United Methodist Church, it gives to numerous charities through regular giving, extra-ordinary contributions, and unique events.
The church provided examples of recurrent events including the American Red Cross, Advent Giving Trees, NETWorks Cooperative Ministry, and Snax Sax for Kids.
Meanwhile, the church asserted its commitment to carrying out the work of the gospel in a manner that protects the safety and spiritual growth of all children, teenagers, and vulnerable adults.
As part of this commitment, Embry Hills United Methodist Church claimed that it abides by a code of conduct and abuse prevention policy known as Safe Sanctuaries.
