First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta holds All Saints' Day worship

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia held an All Saints' Day worship for church members who passed away.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Nov. 7, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta announced that it held an All Saints' Day worship from 8:30 a.m., 9:10 a.m., and 11 a.m. in-person worship.

According to the post, the attendees can also join via live stream at 9:10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on YouTube, Facebook, and the church's website.

During the worship, the staff read the names and light a candle for church members who died in the previous year.

The First Presbyterian Church said it was a time of worship to help the people rest in the hope and promise of the resurrection.

Church's Service Worship

According to the church's website, those interested in worshiping online should go to the First Presbyterian Church's live stream page, homepage, or every Sunday page.

The First Presbyterian Church's website said its new schedule of events would feature everything the church offers, from weekly Sunday services to concerts and small groups.

Meanwhile, church members will add information on the virtual event's attendance to the event description.

According to the church, the Atlanta Design Museum, Union Theater, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Opera, and other local art organizations are all within walking distance.

As a result of these links, the church hosts concerts, and activities regularly.

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta was founded in 1848. The chapel sits near the Woodruff Arts Center on Peachtree and 16th Streets, according to the website.

Members shared the First Presbyterian Church strives to be a city leader in worship, spiritual education, service, community relations, and the arts.

The church said many families contributed to the city's progress, and important anniversaries were marked.

Food Drive for Children's Ministry

Food donations are also needed for the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta's fall food drive for the children's ministry.

The church announced on Facebook that it would be collecting food contributions from Oct. 22 to Nov. 14.

According to the church, the food donations will be utilized to stock the First Presbyterian Church's food pantry in preparation for the busy fall and winter seasons.

Each week, the First Presbyterian's Sunday school classes are asked to bring food donations, according to the post.

Tribute to Living American Composers

The First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta in Georgia will host a memorial event honoring live American songwriters on Sunday, Nov. 14.

The Atlanta Chamber Players will return with a tribute event for live American composers, according to a Facebook post from the First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Nov. 3.

According to the church, the event would feature the international premiere of "Notes From Inside" by Benjamin Krause, the National Finals winner, from January 2021.

It added that the composition was inspired by shared experiences during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
