The products are purchased by volunteer shoppers at Your DeKalb Farmers Market, it added. The church said it appreciates their support for snacks in a backpack.

Church’s Belief

The church affirmed its belief that, like Jesus, everyone is created with essential worth and dignity.

Regardless of race, culture, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or socioeconomic status, education, politics, physical or mental ability, or religious background, everyone is welcome to take part in the community's entire life and mission, according to the church.

By sharing the good news of God's grace and imitating Jesus' command to love one's neighbor as oneself, the church seeks to establish God's kingdom and realm in the world.

Making disciples of Jesus Christ, according to the church, is how it is done in order to change the world.

The vision Scripture presents to everyone is the fullness of God's rule and realm in the entire globe.

The United Methodist Church affirms that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of all, according to the church.

It said in raising followers, it respects people of all faiths and upholds everyone's right to practice their religion in accordance with their own convictions.

Growing Church

On the Emory University campus in Atlanta's renowned Druid Hills area, there is a well-established and expanding Christian community called Glenn, according to the church's website.

The church has members of all ages, ranging in age from two to 102.

It asserted that its activities generated a sense of community and belonging for everyone via worship, service, education, and hospitality.

The church claimed that its roots as a United Methodist congregation may be traced back to John Wesley, an Anglican minister serving for the Church of England in the 1700s.

The church claimed that "Methodist" organizations developed as a result of their members adhering to a daily routine of religious observance and charitable work.

The societies then moved to Ireland and then to America, where they were fully recognized as a separate denomination, according to the church, in 1784.

Currently, there are approximately 11 million United Methodists living in the world, the church said.

The church claims that for United Methodists, social responsibility and faith have always been intertwined.

It also provided examples of how it upholds an ecumenical tradition and cooperates with various Christian faiths and religions, such as its partnerships with the Office of Spirituality & Religious Life at Emory University.
