The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church has offered poinsettias to take home or donate among the church members.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Nov. 17, the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church announced that poinsettias are now available to take home on Sunday, Dec. 19, or can be donated to the homebound church members.

The church said those interested in ordering may contact Cathy Mobley at cmobley@glennumc.org and pay online ($12 each).

According to the church's post, the poinsettia dedications will be shared during the lessons and carols in the bulletin and online on Dec. 12.

The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church also invited the public to volunteer and help deliver poinsettias to homebound members. They may contact Rev. Susan Pinson at spinson@glennumc.org.

Youth Fellowship

According to the church's website, the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church's Youth Fellowship will meet in the Youth and Activities Building on Sunday nights from 6:00 p.m.

The church's celebration for middle and high school children included a lunch, singing sessions, and fun games.

As common for midnight gatherings, the church said they would also have fellowship and learn more about loving God and neighbor.

The worship service, according to the church, is a significant aspect of Glenn Youth's identity.

Its goal is to further God's kingdom by loving and assisting local and global neighbors, focusing on local relationships.

Glenn Youth Development

According to the church's website, the Glenn Youth is committed to providing a safe environment for adolescents in grades 6 through 12 to be themselves, ask questions, have fun, and learn.

The church recognized the importance of youth development and worked hard to create a welcoming atmosphere. It also emphasized the importance of forming mutually trusting relationships.

The Glenn Youth organization, which works to help others in our neighborhood and worldwide, welcomes and accepts everyone. The church expressed concern for the community's health and safety.

Glenn Youth Play

Glenn's youth play will have auditions at the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church.

The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church announced on Facebook on Thursday, Nov. 18, that auditions for the Glenn youth play will be held from Monday, Nov. 29, to Wednesday, Dec. 1.

According to the Glenn Memorial, the auditions will begin at 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the school building of the church.

Parents' information meetings will be scheduled at those times, according to the church.

For those interested in youth play, parents and children were invited to sign up.

The performances will take place from Feb. 25 to 27, according to the church's announcement.

Wreath-making Event

The Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church will conduct a public Advent wreath-making event on Sunday, Nov. 28.

The church invited the public to participate in an advent wreath crafting project for the upcoming Advent and Christmas seasons, according to its Facebook post on Thursday, Nov. 11.

The event will take place in the amphitheater on Sunday, Nov. 28, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. if there is any inclement weather.
