HighView Church to host food pantry for Villa Rica community

HighView Church will hold a food pantry for the residents of Villa Rica from Saturday to Sunday, March 18 to March 19.

The church’s event announced they would start at 10 a.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

Church's Mission, Commitment

The Highview Church’s Mission website emphasized that its goal is to make solid disciples of Jesus. They want to achieve this mission by participating in the people’s development and deployment of the Gospel.

In addition, the church stated that its core commitments tell everything they do at HighView Church. They explained that these values are designed through their disciple-making approach. They added that it serves as guidelines that directly affect their church actions.

One of the commitments the church highlighted is being Gospel-focused. They stressed that they are designed and informed by the Gospel.

Food Pantry

According to another section, HighView Church hosts Food Pantry every first and third Saturday of the month. They explained that they support its community and anyone residing in Villa Rica and neighboring counties by giving out food and home supplies.

Moreover, they stated that they have not only shelf-stable stuff but also offer frozen food and fresh produce. They added that they allow their guests to shop for themselves and choose what they need for their families. 

In addition, HighView Church emphasized that they seek to provide dignity and hope to their guests and to make them encounter God’s love for them.

As further mentioned on the same webpage, the church acknowledged working with many churches, ministry partners, and local entities to assist those in need.

Besides, they stated that they are blessed to be able to serve their patrons with their food pantry. But, they explained that many people still require more help than what they can provide.

The church listed all organizations offering support and making initiatives in their areas. 

According to the list, some churches offering food, clothing, and financial support are First Baptist Villa Rica, First United Methodist Church, and Midway Church.

First United Methodist Church at Villa Rica

The First United Methodist Church’s website aims to offer nutritional food to the vulnerable people in Villa Rica. They highlighted what Jesus mentioned in John 21:15-17 that if people love Him, they should feed His sheep.

Moreover, the website announced that the church holds its efforts every first and third Tuesday of every month from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Besides, they posted that they are collecting non-perishable items.

In addition, the church also welcomes monetary gifts. Also, the website said that some of the donations they accept include peanut butter, jelly, pork and beans, mac and cheese, ramen noodles, and all kinds of pasta.

Lifeline Mission from Midway Church

The Lifeline Mission website revealed that it is a project of Midway Church to support the food and clothing ministry for its community. 

They explained that they had a simple mission: to feed those hungry and clothe the vulnerable people in their community. They added that they exist to minister to the soul.
