‘Garden Suburb’ of Atlanta

Inman Park United Methodist Church, which was established in 1866, is located in Inman Park, the first "garden suburb" of Atlanta.

According to the church, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods predates it.

The church said its building was dedicated on April 17, 1898. The well-known "castle" residence close to the intersection of Peachtree Street and West Peachtree was created in the Romanesque style using Stone Mountain granite by Willis Franklin Denny, II, according to the church. Rhodes Hall was also designed by him.

In addition to other well-known Atlanta landmarks, Denny also created the St. Mark United Methodist Church, the First United Methodist Church, and others.

Church’s Worship Services

At 11 a.m. on Sundays, services get underway. According to the church, they are concurrently live streamed on Facebook and YouTube accounts from the sanctuary. According to the church, it will also be accessible on the Worship page by Monday.

According to Inman Park United Methodist Church, they mix secular and religious music, and while formal attire is not required, wearing slacks is strongly advised.

Due to COVID-19, everyone, regardless of age, must wear a mask when inside the building and during worship.

The church claims that they also encourage social isolation and demands that any longer socializing take place outdoors and after service.

According to Inman Park Church, inclusivity is seen as a key characteristic. Everyone is welcome as a result of the acceptance of Jesus' teaching that everyone is loved and accepted by God.

The church stated that regardless of age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, marital status, legal status, or economic circumstances, everyone is encouraged to fully participate in the life and leadership of our congregation.

They are welcome to interact, grow, and serve here because they are all children of God, regardless of who they are or where they are from.

At 11 a.m., the public is welcome to attend online via Facebook pages, YouTube, or in-person assistance.

Pastor Tara can receive prayer requests by emailing her at pastor@inmanparkumc.com.

The church also suggests that anyone interested in supporting the missions of Inman Park visit www.inmanparkumc.org and select the green "give" button in the top right.
