In a Facebook post on Thursday, March 10, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church announced that after Wednesday's Picnic with the pastors, the members' hearts, minds, and bodies are full.
According to the church, members shared their desires and requirements for this growing ministry at Shallowford Presbyterian Church throughout their time together.

Church’s Memorial Service
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church hosted a memorial ceremony for the church's founding members.
Dr. William "Bill" Jefferson Pendergrast, an initial charter member of Shallowford Presbyterian Church, was honored at a memorial ceremony, according to a Shallowford Presbyterian Church post on Monday, March 7.
The memorial ceremony was held at 2 p.m., according to the church.
Rev. Anna George Traynham officiated in the sanctuary, according to the Shallowford Presbyterian Church.

Dr. William Jefferson Pendergrast Sr., M.D., an Atlanta surgeon, died peacefully on February 3, 2022 at Pebblebrook Health Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia, according to the church's website.
According to the church's website, Bill was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Medical Association of Atlanta, Georgia, the American Medical Association, the American Board of Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
He made numerous contributions to medical and surgical literature. Bill and Martha were founding members of Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. He supported the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina as a deacon and elder in the church.
Shallowford Presbyterian Church Sponsored Afghan Refugees
A family of Afghan refugees was sponsored by the Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
According to a Facebook post on March 2, it will assist them in resettling an Afghan refugee family.
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church is glad to announce that it has begun sponsoring an Afghan refugee family and has applied for government aid.
The congregation was asked to provide new or gently used items by March 19, 2022, to help the family establish a warm and welcome home.

Church’s Online Worship Service
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church hosted an online worship session during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To help minimize the spread of COVID-19 infections, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church placed restrictions on online worship and outdoor communions on Facebook.
An online worship service was held on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m., according to the church. At 2 p.m., there was also an outdoor communion.
The public was invited to bring their own chair, dress warmly, and attend a 20-minute prayer and worship service at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
