Local Ministries at Mount Paran
The church’s local ministries’ webpage posted various programs that they do to help their local community. They said that they offer a ministry for refugees who enter the United States.
The website revealed that tens of thousands of these refugees reside in Clarkston, on the east side of the city. Mount Paran explained that they have the chance to demonstrate Christ’s love in helping them.
As further stated, refugees have had to uproot and move into their communities because of their unsafe living situations in their home countries. They added that they are new to American culture and need assistance adjusting.
The church believes that church members could possibly open doors to relationships and share the Gospel through a warm smile and loving act of service.
Reaching Out to Children
According to the same website, Mount Paran Church hosts a kids’ block party every month to reach out to their neighbors in a local apartment community. They conduct a fun day of games, food, music, and fellowship, as added on the website.
In addition, they noted that the kids’ party is perfect for fun-loving individuals with a heart to enjoy, serve, and minister to children. They pointed out that children ages four to thirteen years old attend the Kids Block Party.
