The Neighborhood Church in Atlanta, Georgia has announced a quarterly justice initiative, which is environmental justice on Earth Day.

On the church's Facebook post on Saturday, April 23, this quarter, will focus on both conservation work and learning about marginalized communities' unfair exposure and how they may join the campaign to advocate for change.

According to the church’s post, they urged people to go out and do something kind for the environment today.

The church invited people to join them for a garden harvest labor day on Friday, April 29 starting at 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. to prepare the garden for spring.

Easter Celebration

The Neighborhood Church held a lovely Easter service, according to its Facebook post on Tuesday, April 19.

The Neighborhood Church announced that it had a great Holy Week or Easter celebration this past week.

Those who joined both in-person and online were also thanked by the church.

According to the church's post, they are looking forward to the Easter season and want to see where resurrection will continue to appear in unexpected places.

The Neighborhood Church also invited the public to share their Easter images with friends and neighbors in order to continue spreading Easter pleasure.

Self-directed Prayer

In the sanctuary of the Neighborhood Church, a self-directed prayer was held.

The Neighborhood Church announced a prayer session from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. 

The service included self-directed prayer at prayer stations throughout the sanctuary, as well as space for solitude and meditation, according to the church's Facebook page.

According to the church, people are free to come and leave as they choose on this most solemn of days.

Those who were unable to attend were invited to make aside time at home to pray.

The Neighborhood Church also issued a prayer for people who were at home on their Facebook page.

Church Worship Services

At the Neighborhood Church, Easter worship services were held both in-person and online.

The Neighborhood Church announced on Monday, March 28 that on Easter Sunday, April 17, it will conduct both in-person and online worship services.

The church expressed its joy at being able to offer both in-person and online worship experiences to let the entire community commemorate this holy and joyful day.

According to the Neighborhood Church, the service began at 11 a.m. The service was webcast live on Facebook, YouTube, and the church's website on Easter Sunday, April 17.

According to a Facebook post, the Neighborhood Church also offered a Maundy Thursday Picnic at 6:30 p.m.

The night before he was killed, Jesus convened with his companions, enjoyed a special dinner with them, and gave them a new commandment: to love one another, according to the church.
