The Neighborhood Church in Atlanta, Georgia used CompostNow as a quarterly justice initiative for environmental justice.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, May 10, the Neighborhood Church said that different sustainability initiatives may practice at home.
According to the church, they compost food wastes, paper goods, coffee grounds, and other items with CompostNow.
The church said they compost all of the building's paper towels, as well as coffee grinds and filters from worship and the break room.
It added that they also use compostable plates (along with genuine mugs and utensils) to create as little waste as possible when they gather.

Quarterly Justice Initiative, Environmental Justice
The Neighborhood Church announced an environmental justice quarterly justice campaign on Earth Day.
On Saturday, April 23, the church announced on Facebook that this quarter's focus will be on both conservation work and learning about marginalized people's unfair treatment and how they may join the movement to push for change.
According to the church's Facebook post, individuals should get out today and do something kind for the environment.
On Friday, April 29, starting at 4 p.m., the church welcomed people to join them for a garden harvest labor day to get the garden ready for spring

Church’s Self Directed Prayer
A self-directed prayer was held in the sanctuary of the Neighborhood Church.
A prayer session has been scheduled for 7 p.m., according to the Neighborhood Church.
The service included self-directed prayer at prayer stations throughout the sanctuary, as well as space for solitude and meditation, according to the church's Facebook page.
On this most serious of days, people are allowed to come and go as they want, the church said.
On their Facebook page, the Neighborhood Church also posted a prayer for those who were at home.
Those who could not attend were encouraged to set aside time to pray at home.

Church Worship Services
Easter worship services were held both in-person and online at the Neighborhood Church.
On Monday, March 28, the Neighborhood Church announced that on Easter Sunday, April 17, it will have both in-person and online worship services.
The church expressed its delight at being able to provide both in-person and online worship opportunities for the community to remember this holy and joyful day.
According to the Neighborhood Church, the service began at 11 a.m. The service was broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube, and the church's website on Easter Sunday, April 17.
The Neighborhood Church also hosted a Maundy Thursday Picnic at 6:30 p.m., according to a Facebook post.
According to the church, Jesus gathered with his companions the night before he was crucified, shared a special meal with them, and gave them a new commandment: to love one another.
