In a Facebook post on Monday, May 23, the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church said that Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson and the Conference Cabinet have announced projected part-time appointment changes as of Sunday, May 22.
According to the church’s post, the appointments will be effective July 1.
The church expressed gratitude to everyone of the North Georgia Conference's Licensed Local Pastors and Associate Members.

New Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer
The United Methodist Church in North Georgia has named a new treasurer and chief financial officer.
Allison Berg will be named the next North Georgia Conference treasurer and chief financial officer, effective July 1, 2022, according to a Facebook post made by the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church on Friday, May 13.
According to the church, she will succeed Keith Cox, who will retire on June 30 after 21 years of faithful service.
Berg is currently Emory University's Associate Vice President of Finance, according to the church.
Berg is a long-time United Methodist who attends Oak Grove United Methodist Church, according to the church. She is regarded as a change agent in both her career and volunteer endeavors. Berg and her husband, Bill have three adult children and one grandson.
She is enthusiastic about the treasurer and chief financial officer posts, according to the church, and feels particularly called to the North Georgia Conference.
She will attend the annual conference in early June, where members will be able to formally confirm the selection.
According to the church's website, Berg's strategic and financial modeling skills affected key Emory decisions such as the purchase of St. Joseph's Hospital, the construction of the Emory isolation unit [necessary for Ebola], and the CHOA collaboration.
