COVID-19 Protocols

The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church said it would continue to provide policy and procedures as the COVID-19 task group analyzes the metrics of safe meetings inside and outside the building. The church stated that the following guidelines would be required at this time.

If a person has a temperature over 98.6 or any other COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, fever, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea), the church recommends that you stay at home.

All area usage must be logged for contact tracking and scheduling purposes, according to the church. It is necessary to notify the church office (office@opcbrookhaven.org) ahead of time.

The church said if the attendees are beyond the age of three and have not been fully vaccinated, they must wear a mask.

They advised keeping a social space of at least six feet between people and avoiding physical contact.

They were also told to sanitize any surfaces that had been touched, such as indoor bathrooms. It is said that outdoor worship sessions are permitted as long as these conditions are met.

According to the church's statement, those who want to stay at home can watch the service live online.

Individuals are expected to follow these rules to maintain their safety and well-being strictly.

The church said that it would be for the community's benefit. It is the responsibility of the people to enforce these values among themselves respectfully.
