The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, held a free movie screening on Friday, Nov. 12.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Nov. 9, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church announced that it held a movie streaming of the newly released "Clifford the Big Red Dog" on the church's front lawn.

The church said snacks and hot cocoa were available for everyone who attended the movie screening.

According to the post, the movie screening was held on Friday at 6 p.m.

It added that everyone was welcome to join the free movie screening.

Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church's Service Worship

According to the church's website, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church believes that those who visit will experience deep hospitality, opportunities for growth, a call to serve, and a sense of belonging.

 According to the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church, The public is welcome to attend the worship services.

Meanwhile, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church announced that its Sunday service would be streamed live on Facebook at facebook.com/opcbrookhaven at 11 a.m.

Earlier services can be found at opcbrookhaven.org/worship-at-home, according to the church.

Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church's COVID-19 Protocols

According to the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church's statement, as the COVID-19 task force monitors the metrics of safe gatherings in and outside the building, the church will continue to provide policy and procedures to ensure we keep its community safe. The church said at present, the following guidelines would be required.

The church asks attendees to stay home if they have a temperature over 98.6 or any other COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, fever, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea).

According to its statement, all space utilization must be recorded for contact tracking and scheduling purposes. The church office (office@opcbrookhaven.org) must be notified ahead of time.

If the attendees are over the age of three, they must wear a mask if they have not been completely vaccinated.

Meanwhile, if they are completely vaccinated and do not choose to wear a mask, they may do so. However, the church requests that they do so when speaking close to others.

The church urged to maintain a social distance of at least six feet and avoid physical touch. They were also encouraged to sanitize any areas that have been touched, including indoor bathrooms. It stated that as long as these requirements are met, outdoor worship sessions are authorized.

When speaking from the pulpit, speakers can remove their masks (as long as they are at least six feet away from the audience.

According to the church's statement, those who remain at home can watch the service live online. All individuals are expected to adhere to these principles to preserve safety and well-being rigorously. It added that it would be for the benefit of the community. It is up to the people to kindly enforce these standards with one another.

Church's Yoga Practice

The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church held a yin yoga practice and soothing meditation in their chapel last Friday, Sept. 24.

Yoga instructor Douglas Johnson offered the yin yoga practice and relaxing meditation, according to the church.

During the yoga practice, the church also instructed that facemasks and health requirements must be followed.
