The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, held a yoga and meditation class in the chapel on Friday, Dec. 3.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Dec. 2, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church announced that it hosted a yoga and meditation class on Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the church’s chapel.
According to the post, yoga instructor Douglas Johnson led the Yin Yoga practice, followed by a relaxing meditation and little Kirtan singing.
The church said the class was accessible for everyone, including beginners. Participants were also encouraged to bring a friend.
However, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian noted that they must reserve for a slot in the class, and face masks were still required.

The cost is $20, with a percentage of the proceeds going to Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church.

Food Bags for Families in Thanksgiving Season
The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church has assisted in distributing Thanksgiving food bags for families and individuals.
Members of the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church helped the church's mission partner Suthers Center Food Pantry deliver food bags in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Nov. 24.
According to the post, on Saturday, Nov. 27, the church's members distributed at least 333 food bags. It claimed to be a new record.
At least 118 families and 60 people were helped, according to the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church.

Free Film Screening
The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church offered a free movie screening on Friday, Nov. 12.
On Tuesday, Nov. 9, the church posted on Facebook that it held a movie screening in the church's front yard of the recently released "Clifford the Big Red Dog."
According to the church, those who attended the movie showing were given snacks and hot cocoa.
Everyone is welcome to attend the free film screening, according to the church.
Church’s Service Worship
The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church believes that those who visit will experience deep hospitality, opportunities for growth, a call to service, and a sense of belonging, according to the church's website.
All of the church's worship services are open to the public.
Meanwhile, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church announced that their worship service would be streamed live on Facebook.

While the COVID-19 working force evaluates the metrics of safe gatherings inside and outside the building, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church indicated it would continue to provide policy and procedures. At this time, the church indicated that the following guidelines would be required.
If a person has a fever exceeding 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or any other COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, fever, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea), the church advises them to stay home.
According to the church, every area usage must be registered for contact tracking and scheduling purposes. It is required to tell the church office ahead of time.
Attendees over the age of three who have not been fully vaccinated must wear a mask, according to the church.
