Orchard Grove Community Church will host a daddy-daughter dance on Friday, March 10.

The church’s website announced that the event would be their second annual event for fathers and their daughters. They said that there would be music and dancing that the participants would enjoy.

Besides, they mentioned that there would be a photo booth, food, and sweet snacks.

They posted that the registration fee would be $30 per head.

Training Fathers

The Care Leader website emphasizes that fathers play a significant and foundational part in their families. They explained that more often than not, fathers normally fail to understand the powerful influence they have on their kids.

The website revealed that based on their observation, fathers do not listen often enough about how crucial they are in the lives of their children, they said that the leaders must change that aspect.

In addition, they explained the church should care about fathers because they are the representation of God as a Father. They added that they need dads in their communities to be the cause their daughters turn to God as Father, not for them to turn away from Him.

Powerful Influence

The same website explained that fathers have a powerful impact on the spiritual practices of the family. They said that they should be equipped to lead.

They highlighted research made by Focus on the Family that pointed out that if the mother is the first household to become a Believer, there is a 17 percent that the household would follow.

However, they discovered that if the father is the first to become a Christian, there is a 93 percent possibility that the household would follow. They stressed that it matters when a dad starts to follow Jesus or deepen his walk.

Church's Way to Help

The Care Leader website believes that the church is a suitable venue for men to be inspired and educated about connecting to their daughters. At the church, fathers could see real-life models of how to be a father to their daughters from observing other men.

According to them,  it is important to prepare environments for younger fathers to interact with seasoned dads. They explained that when a father sees another man praying with his daughter, they could see a vision of family prayer.

As further mentioned, when they know another man admits that he’s dealing with family conflict, there is a chance to know how to deal with troubles at home.  That kind of supportive atmosphere sets a framework for men to band together as allies in the learning process.

Moreover, they noted that they could set for interpersonal connection with impactful, life-transforming outcomes for fathers and daughters when a church trains and nurture fathers with more effective relational methods.

Struggles with Fathers

The website noted that the church oftentimes struggles with meeting fathers where they are. They pointed out that the churches are increasingly asking how they could improve their programs by involving fathers in their ministries.

They suggested that churches should offer men opportunities to mature in their leadership. They explained that most men who serve want to make an influence and have the desire to lead.
