Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia invited the public to donate clothes for underprivileged children this holiday season.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Oct. 20, the church encouraged the public to join in the Salvation Army Clothing Drive.

According to the church's post, it sought help to create happiness this holiday season for underprivileged kids.

In collaboration with Nicholas House, Salvation Army Clothing Drive assists families in need all around our neighborhood, the church said.

This year, toddler boys and girls through boy or girl youngsters in sizes four through 18 are in need of new apparel, it added.

Items include shoes, socks, slacks, shirts, blouses, sweaters, and jackets, according to the church.

The church said on the Peachtree campus, people can bring new, unwrapped clothing items and put them in the bins found in the Welcome Center/Family Commons, The Lodge, and The Gym.

Salvation Army Clothing Drive was opened on Tuesday, Oct. 11. It will run until Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Church’s Mission

Daily adherence to Christ in the restoration of everything, according to the church's website.

The church said its firm conviction is that the only way for Jesus' disciples to affect change in a world in desperate need of love, hope, and joy is via an active, daily connection with Him.

The church said devotees join God in His grand restoration endeavor by deepening the knowledge and understanding of the faith and demonstrating the truth of their convictions through service to one another and the wider community.

God's love compels everyone to put aside the things that separate everyone, the church said.

When people venture beyond their generational comfort zones, take chances, and push themselves to get to know and respect each other, they encounter God in all of his richness, according to the church.

God's love is both tender and firm, accepting and demanding, the church said.

The church said being constantly reminded that they are both intensely and persistently challenged to grow more like Jesus each day, as well as that they are totally and ultimately welcomed, helps everyone to maintain these two facets of God's love in tension.

When God's love is genuine and fully demonstrated, everything is changed, according to the church. It alters how people perceive the world, the church said.

The church added it inspires everyone to share what they have been given with people around everyone and offers them hope for a better life.

It also stated that it demonstrates God's love in meaningful, useful ways that have an impact.

Pastors, Ministry Leaders

Pastors and ministry leaders will speak to them about Peachtree Church's vision and strategy, its fundamental values as a community of faith, and specific ways you can get involved, according to the church

The church said they will take part in interactive sessions where they may share ideas and converse with other participants who are also thinking about their future moves at Peachtree, it added.

The church said they provide everyone with a chance to join the church at the conclusion of the lesson.
