Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia said that its youth members have a mission trip to Puerto Rico.
On a Facebook post on Thursday, July 14, the church said that its youth members recently returned from a mission trip to Puerto Rico where they had a blast exploring, learning, and serving.
According to the church’s post, they are quite proud to have a bunch of young people that are kind, inquisitive, interested, and, on top of it all, a ton of fun.

New Senior Pastor
Saint Mark United Methodist Church has welcomed the Rev. Carolyn Stephens as its newest senior pastor.
On July 8, the church published an announcement on Facebook.
According to a post by the church, the newest senior pastor, Rev. Stephens is thrilled to join the Saint Mark congregation.
However, the church stated that after developing COVID-19 this past week, she has decided that continuing her isolation through this Sunday is best for her health and Saint Markers' health.
Rev. Stephens added that on July 17, her first service sermon will be delivered at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
On July 17 at 9:30 a.m., she will also host a welcome reception, according to the church.
The congregation prayed for Rev. Stephens' speedy recovery and expressed excitement about officially welcoming her on July 17.

‘Mark Your Mark’ Day
Saint Mark United Methodist Church invited the public to take part in "Mark Your Mark" Day on Saturday, July 16.
The church announced on Facebook that on July 16, beginning at 9 a.m., they will gather to work together while enjoying time together until 12:30 p.m.
According to the church's post, there will be projects available for people of various physical abilities and those aged 13 and up.
The members will limit their work to three hours, according to the church, so they may still enjoy the weekend and get to know Rev. Stephens as their new pastor.
There was also a discussion of substitutes for on-site assistance.
The post claims that this is a fantastic chance for a team effort in remembrance or in honor of someone who contributed to Saint Mark becoming what it is today.
People who are interested are urged to RSVP to the Facebook event and fill out the sign-up form so that the volunteer teams can receive any necessary updates.
