Church’s Members

Three times a year, "Discovering Shallowford" classes are offered, giving everyone the chance to learn about the congregation's mission and goals as well as what it means to be a Christian in the twenty-first century, according to the church's website

The classes are also where individuals might start to feel at home in this congregation's life and ministry, the church said.

Shallowford Presbyterian Church stated that sessions meet for two Sundays in a row from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

All who declare Jesus Christ to be their Lord, acknowledge their dependency on God's grace, and intend to actively engage in the church's worship and mission are eligible to join, according to the church.

The church advised those intending to go must let the church office know in advance.

Shallowford Presbyterian Church also cordially invited guests to join in a spiritual family.

The church said among the following ways to join includes by profession of trust to confirm their faith in Jesus Christ in front of the congregation and session of Shallowford church.

All baptisms carried out in the name of the triune God are accepted by the Presbyterian Church (USA), according to the church.

They will also joyously baptize anyone during that Sunday's worship session if they have not already been baptized, the church said.

Reaffirming their trust in Jesus Christ will allow anyone to rejoin a Christian church if they have previously belonged to one but have not been active in recent years, it added.

Service Worship

According to the church, a 45-minute chapel service featuring a sermon, songs, and scripture was held at 8:30 a.m.

Early risers and those who like a more personal worship experience will love this service, the church said. Children under the age of two may use the nursery, it added.

Adults of all ages come together to explore, comprehend, and apply faith on a range of topics with guest speakers through a combined Sunday School session at 9:30 a.m., according to the church.

A 60-minute service that will be broadcast live online and in the sanctuary will feature a full choir, special instrumental guests, scripture, hymns, and a sermon at 11 a.m., the church stated.
