In a Facebook post on Sunday, Jan. 23, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church encouraged the public to join the two-part mini-retreat via Zoom on Thursday, Jan. 27, and Thursday, Feb. 3.
According to the post, the two-part mini-retreat focused on discovering the benefits of mindfulness practice.
The church said the retreat was held on Thursday, Jan. 27, and Thursday, Feb. 3 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. via Zoom.

Online Worship
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church hosted an online worship service amid of COVID-19 pandemic.
To minimize the spread of COVID-19 infections, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church released guidance for online worship and outdoor communions on Facebook.
According to the church, an online worship service was held on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m.
At 2 p.m., an outdoor communion was also held, according to the church.
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church invited the public to bring their own chair, dress warmly, and attend a 20-minute prayer and liturgy service.
The church urged attendees to park in the lower parking lot or along the perimeter of the higher parking lot and meet near the portico in the upper parking lot.
Meanwhile, the Presbyterian church has stated that on Saturday, January 15, it would hold online worship.
In-person worship took place in the sanctuary on Sunday, January 23 at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., according to the announcement. Only 150 people were allowed to participate, and masks and social distance will be necessary.

Church’s Giving Market
The Shallowford Presbyterian Church has asked the public to give to the church's alternative giving market over the holiday season.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Dec. 9, Shallowford Presbyterian Church requested assistance and advised that people consider donating to Shallowford's alternative giving market, which supports the church's 10 mission partners.
According to the church's post, everyone needs a little hope, and this was a terrific way to support someone over the holiday season.
People can make a difference this Christmas by donating to shallowford.org/alternative-giving through Dec. 31.
On Sunday, Dec. 12, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church held its annual "Sounds of Christmas" program.
The annual concert was held at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The free community concert featured an instrumental ensemble and the Shallowford unified choirs, according to the church's website.
The training was available in both in-person and online modes, according to the church.
