St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to hold its first “Back to Church Sunday” celebration.

In a Facebook post, the church said that it will hold the celebration on Sunday, Sept. 18.

According to the church’s post, it will host a unique worship service at 11 a.m. that's packed with song, joy, and the holy spirit. 

Following the worship, the members will all come together for a BBQ meal, handmade ice cream, and desserts.

The church said they are looking forward to a great day and hope that they will join the celebration.

It also hopes that they would bring friends and acquaintances they haven't seen in a while and tell their pals about it.

Based on the post, the Sunday school, choir, and coffee hour will start at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m., and 12 noon for BBQ lunch in the Fellowship Hall.

Participants were also encouraged to visit St. Paul United Methodist Church’s Facebook post.

Church’s Mission

The website of the church stated that everyone is regarded as having holy worth and is a child of God.

The church claimed that due to its mission and commitment to its faith, it embraces all of God's people.

According to the United Methodist tradition of "Open Communion," everyone is welcome at St. Paul who loves God, the principles of Jesus Christ, and the desire to live in peace with one another.

The church stated that because of their convictions and humility, they must acknowledge the inclusion of every group or anyone who is interested in their worship, their faith, or their services.

St. Paul United Methodist Church reportedly requested that God bring about the reconciliation of His people.

The church said that it joined the "Reconciling Ministries Network" in response to the congregation's desire to assist and include all persons, regardless of color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, previous religious affiliation, country, or economic situation.

Sunday School

According to the church's website, adult Sunday school starts at 10 a.m. in Fellowship's lecture hall. It stated that everyone who has completed the sixth grade and older is invited.

The Fellowship Hall, according to the church, is located on St. Paul's second floor.

The church asserts that St. Paul offers a number of workshop sessions in addition to its Sunday worship services at 10 a.m.

Children are always welcome, it said. A nursery is open starting at 10 a.m. for infants and young children, till lunchtime.

St. Paul United Methodist Church said childcare is offered beginning at 10 a.m.

According to their statement, the church is situated in the back right corner of the gym's third floor. The nursery's primary demographic is young children, it was added.

The nursery staff enjoys spending time with the children on Sundays, according to the church.

Children's Sunday school starts at 10 a.m. inside the gym According to the church, all young children between the ages of three and five are welcome.

The gym, according to the church, is located on St. Paul's third level.
