St. Paul United Methodist Church invites public to join for 'Trick or Treat' event

The St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, has invited the public to join in a "Trick or Treat" event for a Halloween celebration on Sunday, Oct. 31.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Oct. 14, the St. Paul United Methodist Church encouraged the public to join the Halloween celebration after worship on Sunday.

The church said the event would have hotdogs and drinks for kids and adults.

According to the post, the children will also be given time to change into their costumes for the "trick or treating" event at 1 p.m.

The church said the participants would have the "trick or treating" route around the outside of the church building with themed tables.

The St. Paul United Methodist also encouraged participants to wear creative and fun costumes.

Nestled in Atlanta's Oldest Neighborhoods

According to its website, the St. Paul United Methodist Church is located in Grant Park, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods.

The website shared that the St. Paul United Methodist has existed at the junction of Grant and Sydney Streets for almost 115 years, providing a place of prayer, friendship, and community.

The church members said they are proud to be a church with open hearts, minds, and doors as a United Methodist Church.

Halloween Activities for Kids, Families in Atlanta

The second annual pumpkin patch for children and families was held at Atlanta's First Presbyterian Preschool.

The First Presbyterian Preschool of Atlanta shared children and family photographs in the second annual pumpkin patch in a Facebook post on Monday, Oct. 4.

The Presbyterian preschool students and their families had a fantastic time in the annual pumpkin patch, according to the school's Facebook post.

The preschool said Children and families constructed scarecrows and decorated pumpkins with their classmates in addition to finding the appropriate pumpkin activity for the Halloween celebration.

Meanwhile, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, will host its annual "trunk or treat" event on Saturday, Oct. 30. The church requested participants in the trunk or treat event in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

According to the church, the annual event will take place in the parking lot of the Shallowford Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants must also dress up in entertaining and inventive costumes, according to the Shallowford Presbyterian Church.

The congregation was also ecstatic and enthusiastic, anticipating the participants' amusing costumes and inventive trunks.

The Presbyterian church also encouraged public members to donate to the church through an Amazon wish list.

On Sunday, Nov. 7, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church will offer an All Saints Day memorial service.

According to the Presbyterian church's website, an All Saints Day memorial service will be held in the Memorial Garden on Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m. to commemorate and honor those who have died this year.

The church's website said the memorial ceremony would also be live-streamed on its Facebook page.

According to the church, the deacons will arrange garden pebbles with the names of loved ones, as they have done in previous years.

The garden pebbles would be provided during the reception, it was noted.
