The St. Paul United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to hold Easter Sunday service on April 17.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 29, the St. Paul United Methodist Church invited the public to join the Easter Sunday service and worship.

According to the church, the St. Paul United Methodist Church said on that first Easter morning, a miraculous event occurred: Jesus Christ was risen from the grave.

The church said it believed that Jesus' resurrection signifies fresh life for all of the people at St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Among the church’s schedules are the following: Easter Sunday on April 17, Sunrise Service at Oakland Cemetery at 7 a.m., and Easter Worship at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Church’s Humanitarian Assistance for Ukraine-Russia Conflict

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the St. Paul United Methodist Church asked the public to help those in need.

On Saturday, March 5, the St. Paul United Methodist Church declared on Facebook that all donations will be used to provide direct assistance to Ukrainians.

They can donate in any of the ways stated, or give online under the Love Offering and specify Ukraine here, or make a check to St. Paul United Methodist Church and earmark it for Ukraine.

This fund, according to the church, will provide direct assistance to Ukrainians in the country as well as those moving to neighboring countries.

According to a Facebook post from St. Paul United Methodist Church, gifts to support the people of Ukraine can be made in the following ways.

Meanwhile, the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, has contributed humanitarian aid to those affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

On March 9, the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church stated on Facebook that it will be providing urgent humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.

The church said it worked with Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, which has strong mission relationships in Ukraine and supports two United Methodist churches in Kyiv and Lviv that provide food, shelter, and transportation for refugees escaping the disaster.

In the midst of Russia's escalating invasion of Ukraine, the Emory Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, requested prayers.

The Emory Presbyterian Church also encouraged people to pray to God during difficult times in a Facebook post on Saturday, Feb. 26.

St. Paul United Methodist Church’s History

The St. Paul United Methodist Church is located in Grant Park, one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods, according to the church's website.

According to the church's website, the intersection of Grant and Sydney Streets has been a focal point for prayer, communion, and fellowship for 115 years.

The United Methodist Church places a high value on open minds, hearts, and doors.

On Sundays at 10 a.m., St. Paul offers worship and a choice of Sunday classes. According to the church's website, children are welcome at any time.
