Every Nation Cincinnati Church hosted a food gathering for its female members during its Rainbow Picnic on July 23, Saturday, at Ault Park.

The church’s Facebook post mentioned that the event was meant to remember the promise of God in good times and tough times throughout the year.

Every Nation Cincinnati Church quoted the Bible verse from Genesis 9:16, which says, “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures on  the earth.”

Women’s Life Group

Every Nation Cincinnati Church offers women’s life groups in three categories: Single Mom, Spice Girls, and Women’s Life, as noted on its website

According to the Single Mom Life Group, they are single mothers seeking to know their identity, truth, and wisdom in God. As added on the website, these women also gather together to seek salvation and strength.

The said group meets every Monday at 7 p.m. to study the book by Jess Connelly entitled “You are the Girl for the Job: Daring to Believe the God who calls You.”

Another webpage revealed that Every Nation Cincinnati Church also holds a group for women over 50. The church calls them the “Spice Girls,” wherein they gather once a month on Sunday.

Those women who want closer relationships with other women of this age group are welcome to join, as further noted on its website. During their gathering, women would have sharing and supportive prayers.

The website also mentioned that women in this group desire to serve younger generations of ladies in their church.

Biblical History of Rainbow

According to the Christianity website, the first appearance of the rainbow was seen after the flood. It is written in Genesis, chapters six to nine, as posted on the website.

As further explained in Genesis 6:5-12, humans are wicked, and God decided to punish them by sending rain for 40 days and nights to flood the world. The website reveals that God wants to kill everyone except Noah and his family.

The website mentioned that Noah and his family made an ark. They were secured with pairs of animals during the rainy season. They added that after several months, the rain stopped, and a rainbow appeared in the sky.

It also discussed how God uses the rainbow to symbolize Noah's promise after burning an offering to the Lord when they got out of the ark.

Moreover, they said that every time people see a rainbow, it could also serve as a reminder of God’s covenant of not breaking everyone and everything on earth.

Relation between Noah and Gospel

The website also relates the story of Noah to the story of Jesus Christ, where God sent His son to give humans a fantastic chance to be free from judgment.

They emphasized that the appearance of the rainbow is excellent news for people to remember how Jesus died on the cross and rose again to give humans freedom.

The website also noted that because of the gospel, people could respond to God’s grace by surrendering faithfully to him.
