Jonathan Roumie, a Catholic American actor who is most recognized for portraying Jesus Christ in the television series "The Chosen," will be one of the speakers at the National Men's Conference, which will be held on Saturday, March 25, at the Cintas Center Cincinnati.

About Jonathan Roumie

According to the Detroit Catholic, “The Chosen" is a television drama series that depicts the three-year ministry of Jesus as documented in the Gospel.

It is widely considered to be the highest crowd-funded multi-season TV series ever produced and is available for streaming on various media platforms.

An analysis commissioned by the show's producers revealed that over 108 million people worldwide have viewed at least part of an episode of "The Chosen."

With this, Roumie, who portrays Jesus in the series, is widely regarded as one of the most prominent Christian actors of our time.

Moreover, his latest film, "The Jesus Revolution," has been setting records and gaining popularity.

Joe Condit, founder and chairman of the National Men's Conference, sought to bring the event back to his hometown of Cincinnati this year after it was first introduced there in 1994.

Several other notable figures will also be speaking at the March 25 event.

This includes Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr of Cincinnati, Archduke Carl Christian of Austria, Bishop Earl K. Fernandes of Columbus, Ohio, and Jesuit Father Robert Spitzer, who serves as the president of the Magis Center located in California.

National Men’s Conference

Catholic and non-Catholic men from various regions of the United States and beyond are encouraged to attend the inaugural National Men's Conference.

According to the National Catholic Register, this event will bring together individuals from different Christian denominations to congregate at the Cintas Center.

Condit, who has prior experience as the founder of the Catholic Speakers Organization, approached Archbishop Schnurr in 2018 to express his interest in reviving the conference.

The archbishop was supportive, and the Cincinnati Men's Conference was brought back to life.

This year, the conference is expanding to welcome participants from all over the United States, and virtual tickets are being offered for individuals who cannot attend in person.

The online option has already attracted men from various cities, including Boston, as well as individuals from as far away as Australia.

Moreover, Condit explained why well-known figures were included as speakers at a Catholic conference.

According to Condit, well-known sports figures, for instance, are often overlooked, despite playing a critical role in any football game.

He noted that offensive linemen, in particular, are seldom recognized by name, even though they hold the crucial responsibility of safeguarding the football and the quarterback.

Condit likened this responsibility to that of St. Joseph, who was tasked with protecting both Mary and the infant Jesus.

He drew parallels between St. Joseph's duty of protecting his wife and son and the significant role of today's man, who must also defend his faith and family.

Condit outlined his objective for the conference, explaining that he approaches the event as if he is assembling a theatrical production.

He stated that he is deliberate in how the speakers are arranged and how they collaborate.

Ultimately, he stated that his aim is for attendees to leave the event feeling fulfilled and grateful for having made the time to attend.

Moreover, Condit expressed gratitude for the various organizations that have supported the conference, including the Catholic Men's Leadership Alliance, which serves as a co-sponsor, and GiveSendGo, which is the title sponsor.
