The church’s website announced that it was an evening for team visions. They added that they prayed for the next semester.

Besides, the team leaders had undergone training and had a great time with food at their new HQ facility, as posted on the website.

As further explained, they would run a group leader training for this semester and extend training for the existing leaders.

Queen City Church Groups

In another section, Queen City emphasized to members that they should refuse to live alone. They explained that the purpose of their groups is to bring people together.

Moreover, the church believes that God created people to live in connection with others. They said that when individuals belong to groups, they can live fully as God designed them to.

The church admitted that having meaningful relationships are sometimes complex. They highlighted that groups at Queen City Church exist to make life-transforming connections related and available for their members.

In addition, the website said that as the church grows, the groups give more opportunities to “stay small” and connected. They stressed that groups are significant at Queen City Church.

Purposes of Groups

According to the same website, the two primary purposes of why groups exist at the church are to have community and to grow deeper in their faith.

They explained that those who want to make relationships and relate with more church members could join the groups offered.

Also, they welcome those individuals who desire to grow in their connection with God. The website noted that regardless of their reasons or situations in life, joining groups could help them.

In addition, the website says Queen City Church provides three Group semesters which are held in winter or spring, summer, and fall. They also said that they have groups online or face-to-face this semester.

Group Leaders' Roles

The Small Groups website explains that leaders should be “shepherd leaders.” They explained that leaders should care about the stage of their members’ spiritual journeys.

According to the website, a leader should know where their members are so they can lead them to where they are going. They added that love and acceptance should exist in the group wherever each one is in their walk.

Moreover, members and leaders should also demonstrate grace, not criticism, as mentioned on the website. They emphasized that the leader should be willing to help the group members mature as he motivates them.

As further stated, the leader’s role is to become a model of following Jesus. The members should see spiritual growth in the leader's life, as stressed on the website. The website mentioned that they are the model for what life transformation looks like to others.

In addition, the website noted that becoming a leader mandates more than a once-a-week gathering. They said it should be a genuine, Biblical community, meaning they live together.

More importantly, they pointed out that a leader should assess the stage of spiritual maturity of his members. They said this assessment would help the members know which aspect to improve.
