The 19 counties that make up the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will begin celebrating the 49th annual Catholic Schools Week with the theme "Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service."

During Catholic Schools Week, students and other Catholics have the chance to celebrate the illustrious legacy of excellence established by the Catholic schools and pray for God's graces to be bestowed upon their school communities.

The annual teleconference dialogue with high school students in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will take place on Monday, and Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr will be one of the participants. Archbishop Schnurr will be available for question-and-answer sessions with each of the 23 Catholic high schools in the area.

The teleconference will be televised live on social media, including the Catholic Schools – Archdiocese of Cincinnati Facebook page, as well as at each high school.

The annual Catholic Schools Week Mass will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. as per the announcement. The archbishop will preside over the mass, which will also include the participation of more than a dozen other priests.

Students from over 80 different catholic schools in and around Cincinnati are encouraged to attend. Before the start of the mass at 9:40 a.m., there was a parade of banners representing each school

There will also have a mass on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at St. Peter Church in Huber Heights. Once more, it will be presided over by the archbishop and other priests.
