The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer to host three-day joint retreat

The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer (COR) will hold a three-day retreat for grades 6 to 12 from Friday to Sunday, Nov. 18 to 20, at the Adventure Serve, Lexington.

The church’s website announced it would be a collaborative program with other youth ministries around Cincinnati.

The retreat will center its activities on how teenagers could follow the Gospel while living in this world. 

The church noted that they would learn practical ways of living out the gospel. They announced that there would be a $60 registration for lodging, food, and transportation.

Youth at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer

The COR’s youth section emphasized that the church is dedicated to turning its vision into reality by creating a genuine community for high school students. They explained that they seek to help the teenagers mature together.

Besides, through its youth program, the church said it could help them, love, and accept the church in various ways, as mentioned on the website. Also, the COR wants to remind these younger generations to be motivated to be proud to be Jesus’ followers. 

Moreover, they noted that youth programs at The COR could help these students share that light with others daily. 

The website posted that high school students gather for programs such as Bible studies, mission trips, outings, and camps.

Secure, Open Space

According to the same section, The COR Youth aims to build a secure and casual atmosphere for young people. As added on the website, they want them to be open to conversing. 

In addition, The COR youth emphasized that they are committed to not making criticisms in those conversations. They said they would make every young person feel God's grace when they fail. 

At The COR youth, they highlighted that they could have fun with each other as much as possible. They want to live out loving their neighbors as they love themselves, as the church mentioned.

Adventure Serve Ministries

The Adventure Serve Ministries website stated that they are a non-profit organization. They added that they are diverse missions group serving their communities. They mentioned that they do this through training groups around the nation through their activities.

Moreover, they emphasized that they offer programs that are adventurous and focused on service. 

In addition, the website said that Adventure Serve Ministries aims to build a Christ-focused community. They want people to grow by encountering confrontations with God, themselves, others, and nature.

Belief of Adventure Serve Ministries

According to Adventure Serve Ministries, they believe in the Apostles’ Creed. They hold on to the principle that God, the Almighty Father, made heaven and earth. Besides, they said that they proclaim that Jesus Christ is the only Son and Lord. 

Moreover, the organization believed the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus for Virgin Mary to bear. They explained that they thought that Jesus suffered under the leadership of Pontius Pilate. They said Jesus was crucified and, after three days, rose again. 

The organization also said they would wait until Jesus returned to judge those alive and dead. Besides, they added that they believe in the Holy Spirit and the Catholic Church.
