Vineyard Cincinnati Church opened an elective class titled “The Healing Release of the Holy Spirit” from Feb. 9 to March 9.
Elective Class
In "The Healing Release of the Holy Spirit,” participants would explore how God reveals his plans through the Old and New Testaments.
They are going to study what scripture says about why they need healing and how it calls them to engage in personal and collective growth.
Dr. Gary Sweeten teaches the class on Thursdays from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.
With almost fifty years of experience as a counselor, educator, and pastor, he has focused on building strong relationships.
His doctoral dissertation aimed to combine modern psychology with biblical principles for emotional and relational well-being.
Sweeten has mentored numerous pastors and lay people on how to cultivate therapeutic communities like the early churches in Acts.
Sweeten founded Lifeway Counseling Centers and expanded his ministry to various countries.
He has also recently launched RelationalPeace.org to make his teachings more accessible to a new audience. His teachings remain centered on Christ.
The class is among the elective courses offered during the Winter 2023 semester at the Cincinnati School of Supernatural Ministry.
Cincinnati School of Supernatural Ministry Classes
Starting from February 7th, the Cincinnati School of Supernatural Ministry (CSSM) has been providing six optional classes.
Aside from the Healing Release of the Holy Spirit, these include Kingdom Faith and Authority, Freedom from Shame, Kingdom Listening, Spirit-led Evangelism, and Casting Out Demons.
In the “Kingdom Faith and Authority” class, participants have the opportunity to examine the foundations of their faith and uncover any hindrances.
The class is built on the principles of dismantling lies and understanding God's unwavering love.
It teaches that faith is activated by love and is rooted in the experience of being loved.
Participants are taught about how God has planned their future, the importance of surrendering and taking authority, and how to make God's Word the ultimate authority in their lives.
Meanwhile, the “Freedom from Shame” class is designed to be an interactive experience that involves instruction, question-and-answer potion, and time for receiving ministry from God.
Andy and Laura Gress, the speakers, offer in the class a practical guide for inner healing and establishing a biblical foundation for understanding one's identity in Christ.
On the other hand, the “Kingdom Listening” class is an immersive and transformative experience that offers a fresh perspective on how to relate to others.
Participants learn a new approach to deep and casual relationships that centers on the Kingdom.
With this being said, the class would require a change in mindset, which is simple yet demanding.
It all begins with a curious attitude that seeks to understand and learn.
With practice and intentionality, participants can radically transform their relational lifestyle and become effective listeners who advance God's Kingdom.
The “Spirit-Led Evangelism” class focuses on enhancing each participant’s ability to partner with the Holy Spirit and share the Father's love with people they meet on the street.
Participants learn how to create a treasure map with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and incorporate their testimonies into the five-finger gospel.
They also receive ample opportunities to practice sharing the gospel with strangers and friends.
Overall, this class emphasizes active participation and the expectation that the Holy Spirit will work through the students to reach those who need to experience the Father's love.
The class on “Casting Out Demons” addresses the lack of demon-casting in the average follower of Jesus, despite it being a significant aspect of Jesus' kingdom ministry on earth.
The course revives this ancient ministry and helps believers free themselves from demonic influence.
Participants learn about deliverance ministry and gain practical skills to conduct this ministry regularly.
With this, the class focuses on equipping students to destroy the works of the devil and liberate the sons and daughters of God from the spirits that torment them.
