The Good News Houston Church invited the younger congregation members for church camping.
Let’s Go Church Camping
According to the church’s Facebook page, it held the event from Saturday to Sunday, Jan. 14 to 15, at the church premises.
The church asked the children to bring their sleeping bags, pillows, towels, toiletries, notebooks, pens, and Bibles for the event.
The pictures posted by the church from the event showed the children learning about the Word of God inside and outside the church. It also had them cooking, crafting, and doing other camp-related activities.
Good News Houston Church and Christian Leaders Fellowship
According to the Facebook page, the church is a part of the Christian Leaders Fellowship USA.
The church says on its page that its creation came from the need of modern Christianity to practice a ‘ministry of true repentance and faith.’ The church added that its motto is ‘Return only to the Bible, let us run only by faith.’
It states that it is a church that strives to revive churches, communities, and countries.
Also, it is a place for people to establish Christian networks and collaborations to strengthen it at local and global levels. It does this through events, training modules, workshops, and more.
Pastor Ock Soo Park
The church page says that the CLF has Pastor Ock Soo Park as its founder.
Over the years, the pastor has received recognition worldwide for his achievements in the ‘difficult field of work, the task of changing people’s hearts.’
The pastor has served people across South Korea, New York City, Africa, South America, and beyond.
Apart from all that, the pastor is a speaker and an established writer with 59 books under his name.
The pastor holds honorary Doctorate Degrees in Philosophy from the University of Mongolia and Education from the University of Azteca, Mexico.
According to his page, the pastor received the lord in 1962, starting his journey with God. By 1976, he had already founded a missionary school that teaches ‘future preachers of the gospel.
His missionary work would prosper from the 80s to the early 2000s, establishing the Grand Bible Conference and the Good News Publishing House.
In 2017, the pastor founded the CLF, holding its first conference in New York. In the same year, the pastor received the ‘Africa Leadership Award.’
All throughout his career in the ministry, he established and founded several more Christian organizations. This includes the Korea Gospel Missionary School, the Korean Baptist Society, and the Mahanaim Bible Training Center.
As for the awards he has garnered over the years, these includes:
- 2019 Certificate of Appreciation from the Prime Minister of Eswatini
- National Assembly of Lesotho
- 2015 Benin Government ‘Medal of Merit'
- 2009 Citation from Busan Metropolitan City
- 2010 Certificate of Appreciation from Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency
Upcoming Good News Houston Church Events
On the Facebook page, the church says that it is set to hold a three-day seminar from Wednesday to Friday, Jan. 18-20.
The event features Pastor Joshua Park as a guest speaker. On June 30, the church has the ‘pastor’s Prayer & Coffee.’
