A few weeks away from the holidays, local rehearsals progressed in preparation for the Christmas concert and chronicle.
'The Story: Christmas at Houston's First' is set to launch on the 2nd week of December. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the four-day event that will take place from Dec. 9-12 at Houston's First Baptist Church, located at 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX.
As reported on their Facebook and online booking website, Houston's First Baptist Church holds an eventful Christmas concert with Houston's First orchestra and choir.
Special guests and award-winning artists Jason Crabb, Matt Maher, and Matthew West will join the production.
Special Guests to Join Event
Aside from the event details, sneak peeks at the guests' accomplishments were also posted on the online ticketing center.
Jason Crabb is a two-time Grammy Award and a two-time Dove Award Winner. He will join the event on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 pm.
As mentioned, Crabb was the youngest artist included in the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. Given a chance, he performed in many prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Brooklyn Tabernacle. He also appeared in Billy Graham's final crusade in NYC.
Meanwhile, Matt Maher is a nine-time Grammy Award nominee and a three-time Dove Award nominee, who will perform on Friday, Dec. 10 at 7 pm. A few of his written hymns were "Lord, I Need You" and "Your Grace Is Enough." He also released five number one radio singles.
Another guest is the five-time Grammy Award nominee Matthew West, who received the Dove Award Songwriter of the Year.
He has written five published books and is co-founder of PopWe, a non-profit ministry devoted to helping others craft arts. He will guest on the program at 2 pm on Saturday, Dec. 11, and 7 pm on Sunday, Dec. 12.
At the same time, Carlos Penavega from Hallmark Channel and Nickelodeon productions will be reportedly in charge of the video narration for the live event.
Penavega is the founding member of Big Time Rush. The artist is also a former contestant of the Dancing with the Stars program.
As mentioned, 'The Story' is best for four ages and above. Anyone who wishes to attend must avail of a ticket to attend the four-day holiday event.
Ticketing Prices
According to the website, ticketing prices at the event start at $5 to $20 for general audiences seating placement. VIP seating prices are at a fixed price of $30.
The cost includes Q and A discussion with the artists, a private gathering, and own seating selection during the program.
Approximately, The Story will last up to 2.5 hours. Audiences may reportedly register for childcare if the children are too young to sit quietly. It is available during Saturday and Sunday nights for birth to 3-year-olds.
First Baptist employees will also offer paid childcare services. Childcare costs $15 per child. As mentioned, registration ended on Thu, Dec. 2. For handicap seating, attendees may buy tickets by calling 1.866.200.9569.
