Northland Christian School will soon hold its "Night of Worship" event for high school students on Apr. 1. Hope City Church's own Hope City Band will reportedly lead the event.

A Night of Worship

The Night of Worship event is a collaboration between Northland Christian School and the Hope City Band. Attendees can expect worship, free food trucks, and outdoor games. The event will also feature inspiring speeches by local youth pastors.

Northland Christian School

The Northland Christian School page states that it is a private institution offering academics, spiritual development, fine arts, and athletics with a Christian faith perspective.

A group of families from the Bammel Church of Christ reportedly founded the school in 1974. The founders committed themselves to providing academic excellence combined with Biblical teachings.

When the school first started, they had 43 students enrolled. Today, the institution teaches more than 500 students every year.

Their page says that the Christian school believes that God can provide meaning and purpose to people's lives.

"A Northland education is rooted in the belief that all knowledge and understanding can only be found in a worldview with God at the center—faith, learning, leading, and living are all intertwined here at Northland Christian," said the school.

Importance of Spiritual Development in Northland Christian School

As furtherd on its page, the school has a reported extensive spiritual development program. They have programs that cater to all students from elementary and high schools.

For their elementary students, the church provides weekly chapel programs every Wednesday. The program is student-led, with a different class taking charge every week. The homeroom classes also feature daily Bible classes wherein the students study and memorize scripture from both the Old and New Testaments.

They also hold service projects that aim to "emphasize compassion and the ability to think outside of ourselves by helping to meet the needs of others." The class-wide and school-wide projects work alongside different organizations to address various needs of the community.

For example, the Christian school holds a canned goods drive every January. MANNA pantry, a food bank that caters to Texas, is the recipient of the collected goods.

Senior students may volunteer to lead spiritual life groups for their secondary-level students. They are also encouraged to support the weekly chapel programs.

The school also has its own chaplains to attend to the spiritual needs of its students.

Mr. Joshua Gentry is a Bible teacher and chaplain with a BA degree in Biblical Text from the Abilene Christian University. He guides the students of Northland Christian with the Bible together with his co-chaplains, Mrs. Tabitha Glass and Mrs. Heather Harmann.

Hope City Band

Meanwhile, based on its website, the Hope City Worship, which heads the Hope City Band, has the purpose of pursuing the heart of Jesus by cultivating true worshipers by using talents in different events in various churches.

The staff and volunteers of the worship team reportedly provide their services to weekend services, rallies, community nights, Freedom Conferences, and other events.
