A former chef from an exclusive boarding school for troubled teen girls was recently accused of molesting four juveniles. 40-year-old Manuel Rodriguez allegedly bribed the teens for their silence. 

Bribes for Silence

In a report with Click Orlando, court records showed that Rodriguez molested the teens who lived there.

According to arrest records, he offered them nicotine vapes or marijuana edibles in exchange for their silence. The former chef has pleaded not guilty to the accusations. 

Place for Troubled Teens

The crimes took place at Providence Pass. The faith-based boarding school was described on its website as "a world-class preparatory school for teenage girls who struggle."

Its residents are young girls aged 13 to 17. The residents are described as troubled teens with issues such as eating disorders, depression, and mild substance abuse. 

Court records show that some of the students paid more than $7,000 per month to attend the school. Rodriguez is currently in the Osceola County jail without bond while awaiting trial. 

Sexual Allegations

According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, they are currently investigating the case. They believe there may be more victims.

Providence Pass officials released a statement saying that they were heartbroken over the arrest of Rodriguez. They assured the public that they were cooperating with law enforcement on the case. 

The school said that they were "shocked at these extremely serious allegations."

A 14-year-old resident told her therapist at Providence Pass that Rodriguez had molested her. She said the abuse started a little before Thanksgiving. 

The school officials reported the crime to law enforcement within two days of learning about the allegations. 

Court records revealed that Rodriguez and a teen were walking down the long driveway. The teen said that the chef talked about his past experiences of doing "sexual things" with girls. 

The young girl told sheriff's investigators that Rodriguez "began touching her face and thighs." She claimed that Rodriguez touched her rear end and thighs when she went into the kitchen to get food. 

The teen also accused Rodriguez of making her touch his private part on top of his clothes and gave the girl a nicotine vape. She told the news outlet that she flushed it down the toilet to avoid trouble. 

"I'm not sure I can trust you, but you can't tell anyone about this," Rodriguez allegedly told her.

The teen told investigators that she spoke with her fellow students. They also claimed to have been abused by Rodriguez. Authorities were prompted to interview more students.

One 16-year-old told police that Rodriguez groped her over her clothes. The two were allegedly alone together inside the boarding house.

The chef allegedly told the teen that she was the most beautiful person he has soon and wished his wife had a body like hers. 

The teen claimed that the chef placed her hands on his penis when they rode alone together. 

They were in a van to deliver food to other students at the school building. 

The school building was located about 20 miles away from the boarding house in downtown Celebration.

According to the report, the school is not regulated by the Florida Department of Children and Families since it is a faith-based boarding school.
