Lincoln Heights Christian Church opens a "Life Group" for young professionals every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The church’s website noted that the program would be an excellent opportunity to help young adults be with people going through the same journey.

Besides, the group welcomes individuals ages 25 to 30, as posted on the website.

Life Groups

In another section, the church explained that Life Groups are intended for creating deeper relationships. They said that Life Groups are composed of five to fifteen people who gather at homes or churches.

In this group, they help people mature spiritually and make genuine relationships. They said that members of the groups pursue development in Jesus as they meet around God’s Word with others.

According to the website, people in these groups feel loved, challenged, and empowered.

Lincoln Heights Christian Church welcomes everyone to be part of life groups regardless of where they are in their journey. They said they could discover a suitable group for them.

Other Groups

The same website explained that Connect group is the best place for those who want to start their life at Lincoln Heights. They added that this team makes people feel motivated and make friends as they enjoy life.

Moreover, they mentioned that they do not force or pressure this first step on people who desire to establish a community at the church. They emphasized that it is better to do life with others, and Connect Group is where it could happen.

They group men and women every week to enjoy some food and icebreaker games. Then, they said they study the Bible by watching Scripture-based video lectures. The group discussed how they could apply the videos they managed daily.

Young Professionals with Mental Health Disorders

Claude Silver, a Chief Heart Office of VaynerMedia, said on the SHRM website that she has witnessed a lot of anxiety with younger generations who have just graduated from their universities and started working.

As further explained, she had observed that there are a lot of individuals who are using anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications. Silver was surprised by the number of young people who were taking these medicines.

Moreover, the website emphasized that many young adults suffer from mental health problems.

According to a study by the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors, anxiety has overtaken depression as the most common factor why college students ask for counseling services.

Factors of Mental Health Problems

The same website explained some theories behind the rising number of individuals with anxiety disorders. One of the factors they mentioned is that advanced technologies like iPhones and computers demotivate people from having face-to-face conversations.

The website stresses that personal interactions are vital to a healthy mental condition.

More importantly, they noted that these modern gadgets could sometimes drive employees to keep in touch with work round-the-clock, which leads to stress.

The website emphasized that globalization and other economic factors have increased the competitive pressure on young professionals to perform well.
