Kids at City Church OTR

On the church’s website, City Church OTR emphasized that their worship services are for all people, including the young ones.

As further mentioned, they prepared a lot of activities for them to offer an enjoyable experience during their fellowship. They added that they have a secure place where kids could play while the adults are having their worship service.

More importantly, the church stated that their staff and volunteers undergo background checks to guarantee the safety of the children. They said Kid’s City is well-trained with sanitized toys, art materials, and entertainment equipment.

In addition, adults or guardians could check in their kids at the church’s playroom before the service starts.

Inside Out Movie

The Nerdist website revealed that Pixar Animation Studios produced the InsideOut movie, which is famous for more than its groundbreaking and excellent animation style.

They added that their films have powerful narratives from great perspectives focusing on emotional intelligence.

According to them, Pixar’s InsideOut, released in 2015, catches the emotions of its viewers.

In addition, they stated that the story revolves around a preteen girl named Riley and her emotional core. Her emotions were triggered when she tried to move from Minnesota to San Francisco. In the story, her five emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, learned to work together to guide Riley through the changes in her life. They seek to save Riley’s primary memories and“personality islands.”

Moreover, the website noted that the story could give the viewers a lot of significant learnings about acknowledging, respecting, validating, and processing their complexes and emotions.

They further explained that humans of various ages have difficulties in world-changing events like the pandemic. They emphasized that COVID-19 has made it even more challenging to deal with many feelings.

Lessons from Inside Out movie

According to the Nerdist website, the InsideOut movie taught people to embrace sadness. In the film, the other emotions are dedicated not to allowing Sadness to have room in Riley’s life.

In the story, Joy places Sadness in a “proverbial box” without knowing that she has room in Riley’s life as a human being, whereas Sadness allows Riley to realize that she should not go away and should be honest about her feelings to her parents.

The website noted that Psych Central states that people deal with the pressure of showing that they are happy every time. They explained that this could lead people not to face their reasons for feeling low.

Moreover, the movie taught its viewers that although sadness may not be a good feeling, they should know it is also an important emotion. They emphasized that people have the right to experience various emotions.

It said Inside Out made people realize there is nothing wrong with crying and feeling blue. They mentioned that Sadness allows people to listen to their hearts and accept their feelings instead of ignoring them.
