First Lutheran Church Cincinnati will join the Gather Cincinnati's winter worship gathering, hosted by Monfort Heights United Methodist Church (UMC), on Sunday, Jan. 8, at Fork RD. Cincinnati.
The church’s Facebook page posted that they work with the members of Gather Cincinnati, a faith community of young adults across the county. They encouraged those young people in the church to get connected with Gather.
New Faith Community
The church’s website explained that Gather Cincinnati is a new faith community for younger generations from Cincinnati. They added that they are connected with each but embrace people from various traditions.
In addition, they stated that Gather Cincinnati s not a church but does have relationships with young adults that attend churches across Greater Cincinnati. They said that it is a room for everyone who does not have teenagers in their sanctuary.
Moreover, the organization is for those who are not affiliated with their church. Gather is for young adults who are active in their church but want to meet new individuals.
The website mentioned that other churches could also let their young people relate to their community by joining the Gather.
As further added, those who seek answers and want to learn more could attend the Gather Cincinnati.
Those having a hard time looking for a church are also welcome, as stated on the website. They said that they are LGBTQIA+ affirming and desiring to encourage others with any sexual orientation and gender identity in their leadership and participation.
Monfort Heights UMC
According to the Monfort Heights UMC website, they exist to strengthen and train families and people to live in Christ-community. They seek to offer relationships, maturity, and serving opportunities for everybody, as explained on the website.
In addition, the church stated that they are happy to welcome anyone, whether they are new to church or beginning to ask things about God. They also embrace those with a relationship with Jesus.
The website emphasized that there are a lot of chances for people to relate with each other, grow, and serve in their church’s community.
Ministries for All Ages
In another section, the Monfort Height UMC noted that there are various opportunities for people to connect and grow with others. They added they could participate in life at Monfort Heights UMC.
At Monfort Heights UMC, they believe that life changes occur best in the community. They said that they are building a community through having small groups. They mentioned that their members gather each week to grow and serve together.
Moreover, they offer a particular program for young people. They emphasized that their program, Elevate, creates a place where the youth can authentically be themselves and express their stories.
In addition, they encouraged students to participate in a meaningful faith practice and into a closer connection with Jesus Christ.
The church also offers ministry for children, which is an essential part of their program, as noted on the website. They stressed their teachers and assistants. utilize suitable and creative learning techniques to help the kids improve their connection with God.
