The church’s website encouraged members to donate items for La Soupe’s high school students and teachers. They added the students are learning how to cook by themselves for their families.

Besides, the church posted items such as canned goods like marinara sauce and diced tomatoes to give members ideas on what to give. They also suggest giving lentils and Lasagna noodles, as added on the website.

As further mentioned, the members could choose regular-sized items and place them in the bins at the church entrances throughout January.

Moreover, they emphasized that they had 1.5 million servings from their local chiefs at La Soupe. They mentioned that their chefs exceeded the challenge.

The website highlighted that their Bucket Brigade works bolster La Soupe’s weekly “soupe” production using rescued ingredients.
