New Prospect Baptist Church hosts orientation for prospective youth volunteers

New Prospect Baptist Church hosted a Volunteers Information Session for its youth ministry on Saturday, Jan.14, at the church’s Teen Room on the Lower Level.

The church’s Facebook page encouraged those interested in helping them in their youth program to participate in the event. They emphasized that they want to be a blessing to kids ages seven to twelve and youth ages 13 to 17.

Besides, the church mentioned that they would give information on becoming a teacher, assistant, or volunteer in their youth program. They emphasized that they need members’ wisdom, energy, and love for kids.

Empowered Youth

The church’s youth section emphasized that the New Prospect Baptist Church offers a variety of programs, activities, and events.

They conduct these programs to encourage the children to have a Christian lifestyle and spiritual strength.

Moreover, the church noted that they want to work with parents to lead their kids into a deeper connection with Jesus. They added that the church seeks to help them know how to love others and themselves.

Youth Programs

On the same website, the church highlighted My Voice, a youth program to educate and train young people in music and art.

As further mentioned, they envision the youth becoming mentors and role models to other teenagers across Cincinnati and the world.

In addition, the My Voice program seeks to open rooms for young people in New Prospect and neighboring communities throughout Cincinnati. They want to be a place and tool for them to discover and cultivate their talent and gifts.

The church mentioned that the program occurs every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the website features another program called, The Experience. The church explained that they seek to teach the youth ages seven to 17 how to continually develop their connection with God.

Moreover, The Experience aims to encourage each child by providing examples of God’s Word, Activities, Life Application Lessons, and personal examples from the teachers.

Operation Wakanda

According to the church’s website, New Prospect Baptist Church recently created Operation Wakanda, a youth program that fosters growth in young people’s faith in Jesus.

The website mentioned that this project seeks to advocate youth excellence in school and let them know about various career opportunities.
