Northminster Church will hold the Fine Arts Fair 2023 on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the church’s facilities.

The church’s website announced that the collected funds from the art fair would all proceed to Visionaries and Voices. They encouraged members to drop by and see all the new and returning artists.

Besides, they mentioned that the event would be at no charge.

Call for volunteers

In another section, Northminster Church stated that they still need volunteers to help make the outreach successful.

They explained that their fair is an excellent Front Porch program that entices members of their community to experience a welcoming atmosphere in Northminster. They added that they want them to meet friendly people and discover how the Holy Spirit works.

Visionaries, Voices

According to the Visionaries and Voices website, they are an exclusive arts group offering creative, professional, and educational chances for adults and disabled individuals.

As further explained, the idea of Visionaries and Voices started in 2001 when Keith Banner and Bill Ross hosted an exhibition in Base Gallery. They stated that the exhibit is dedicated to artists Paul Rowlan, Richard Brown, and Antonio Adams.

They also showed the work of Raymond Thunder-Sky, as noted on the website.

In addition, the website revealed that Banner and Ross both served county boards working with people with disabilities. They met these artists through their work and had their first exhibition.

They emphasized that after the first exhibit, more opportunities are given to them, and they coordinate shows and display the work of artists with disabilities.

Continuous Opportunities

In another section, the Visionaries and Voices desire to build continuous opportunities to learn and enhance their professional skills. They want to give artists with disabilities a chance to work with others, show their artwork, and celebrate with community members.

The website shows more than 140 local artists participate in the Visionaries and Voices. They explained that they use paint, clay, metal, fabric, colored pencils, ink, and collage.

They added that some artists use photography, assemblage, glass, wood, and digital tools to create art. The website mentioned that Visionaries and Voices seek to help artists cultivate their styles in the studio.

In addition, they stressed that artists could have exhibitions in galleries in the region, nation, and other countries

More importantly, artists encourage each other in a place that helps them to express themselves and develop creatively, as revealed on the website.

Creative Energy in Studios

The exact section highlighted that each of its studios is a place of belonging where they could feel a creative energy that connects people.

As further emphasized, the dreams of the artists are painted boldly inside the studio walls. As added on the website, they are filled with inspiration and could feel that they are part of a community.

In addition, the website stresses that the studios do not create any limitations, and they encourage artists to share their experiences from education, exhibition, and life.

The website states that staff at Visionaries and Voices are degree holders in printmaking, ceramics, painting, drawing, and more.
