The Higher Dimension Church is calling for people to receive baptism at the church.

HD Baptisms

According to the Higher Dimension Church Facebook page, it opened the registrations for baptisms on October 6 and closed it on October 17. Those interested were asked by the church to register on the church app.

On the post, it says that “baptism represents the cleansing of sin and transformation of flesh through a sacred rite of passage that usually involves water.” It added that it is an affirmation of one’s new self in Christ after their immersion in water.

In another post, the church said that baptism candidates are set to receive the sacrament on Sunday, October 30 either at the Katy Campus or the Houston Campus. This coincides with the church’s upcoming Harvest Sunday, an event for the whole congregation.

Higher Dimension

According to the church page, it is dedicated to helping people find purpose though loving God, growing in the community, and influencing the world. The church follows five pillars which consists of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism.

As for the beliefs of the church, it says that it believes God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As such, it follows Jesus as the Son of God and the second member of the Trinity who revealed God to humanity and became the Savior of the world.

Additionally, the church believes that salvation is available to anyone who places their faith in Jesus Christ.

As for the Bible, the church believes that it is the “inspired Word of God” and that it is without error.

The church provides multiple ministries, small groups, and volunteer work opportunities for people to join. The church has the Higher Kids and the Higher Youth ministries for the development of the younger members of the church. It also has service teams for the community and the PEACE program for the congregation.

Leadership of Higher Dimension Church.

The church has Terrance H. Johnson and Torsha Johnson as pastors. Terrance is the founder and the lead pastor of the church and is said by the church to have excellent communication and leadership skills.

The Houston native pastor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Sociology. He is also a coach for Higher Church, a program that provides courses aimed to teach people about establishing their own churches.

It added that apart from the pastor’s experience with the church, he has also helped the community when it comes to the redevelopment of impoverished areas.

The pastor has an active social media presence with his Instagram page that has over 13.5 thousand followers. He also has a Twitter page with the handle @THJohnson that has 5,423 followers.

Baptism

According to Brittanica, Baptism is a “sacrament of admission to Christianity.” The practice is common to those who follow the Trinitarian faith.

It is also a significant act in the Bible and was even mentioned by Jesus Christ as one of His directives in the “Great Commission” to His disciples. The baptism of Jesus Christ Himself by John the Baptist was recorded in the New Testament.
